National Registration Identity Card - a document for personal identity. Pink colour for Singaporeans. Blue colour for permanent residents (PR).


When you lose your NRIC, there is no need to report the loss to the police. You should go to ICA to apply for a replacement. The processing fees for the first lost is S$100, and subsequent losses are S$300 each.

However, if your card was stolen, or pickpocketed, you may fill in a form to request for a discount of the processing fee. You will be meet an officer who will interview you and assess your situation.

After you have paid for the replacement, if you eventually recover your card within about 2 weeks from the time of loss, you can return to ICA and apply for a full refund. Your replacement application will be cancelled.
